Ports
Passenger and cruise traffic in Cyprus is served by the multi-purpose ports of
Limassol and Larnaka on the south coast of the country.
Limassol Port
The largest port facility on the island, is situated in the western part of Limassol
town and can accommodate vessels of any L.O.A.
Ferries connect Limassol port with Greece, Israel, Egypt, etc.
The port also serves as a base and stop-over for a large number of cruise ships conducting
cruises in the region on a regular and frequent basis.

Larnaka Port
Situated on the eastern part of Larnaka town, the port can accommodate vessels, not far in
excess of 200 m. L.O.A. Services offered to travellers at Larnaka port, include:

- Duty Free Shops
- Cafeteria
- Transportation service by taxis (rates are based on taximeters)
- Health Inspector's Office.
Cruises from Cyprus
Cyprus, the gateway to the Eastern Mediterranean.
Cruises to Egypt, the Holy Land and the Greek Islands are offered by various operators of
cruise ships.
- Two-day cruises to Egypt which include a visit to the Cairo Museum and
the Pyramids.
- Two-day cruises to the Holy Land which include a visit to the Holy places
in Jerusalem and Bethlehem.
- Three-day combination cruises to Egypt and the Holy Land which include
the above mentioned excursions.
- 7-day cruises from Limassol to Greece and the Greek islands, Egypt and
the Holy Land.
The schedules don't differ from one operator to the other. The ships
usually leave Limassol harbour late afternoon, sailing over night, arriving in Haifa or
Port-Said the next day, early in the morning. Excursions are organised to take the
travellers to the resprecitve sites until the evening. The ships are departing again in
the evening to return to Limassol arriving in the port the following morning.
The cruises are usually operational all the year round by large and comfortable cruise
ships which offer full board accommodation and entertainment at very reasonable prices
thus making a holiday in Cyprus richer and more beautiful.
Reservations for the cruises can be made while on holiday in Cyprus through the
representatives of the tour operators or a local travel agency.
Boats
(Ferry) Connections to other Countries
Passenger ships from the ports of Limassol and Larnaka connect Cyprus with
various Greek and Middle East ports: Piraeus, Rhodos, Herakleion, other Greek islands,
Haifa, Port Said.
Please note that most of the boat services offer reduced services during the winter
period.
Regular services commence again in spring with more or less the same itineraries.
Boat Trips along
the Coast of Cyprus
One-day sea cruises in the crystal-clear Mediterranean waters, are organised from
May to October, weather permitting.
The fares usually include drinks and snacks on board, with lunch served either on board,
or at a sea-side restaurant.
Routes:
- From Limassol Harbour to Lady's Mile beach and back.
- From Pafos Harbour to Coral Bay, Pegeia area and back. From Agia Napa to
Paralimni, Protaras area and back.
- From Larnaka Marina along Larnaka, Agia Napa, Protaras coast and back.
- From Polis (Latsi) along the Akamas coast and back.
